About V-PAGe

Visioning, Policy Analysis and Gender (V-PAGe) is a subproject under Component-1 (i.e. ICAR as Catalyzing Agent for Management of Change in the Indian NARS) of National Agricultural Innovation Project funded by The World Bank. This sub-project is being implemented by a consirtium led by National Centre for Agricultural Economics and Policy Research (NCAP), New Delhi. Different components of the sub-project and the consirtium Partners dealing with different components are given below. Directorate of Research on Women in Agriculture, Bhubaneswar, formerly known as National Research Centre for Women in Agriculture is a consortium partner dealing with Gender Issues and working on following objectives:

• Document experiences and lessons learnt of various agricultural programmes towards social and economic empowerment of women (Especially through a review of literature)
• Undertake case studies to understand the problems of and opportunities for women in agriculture.
• Work with the agencies involved (Including consortia partners and women groups) and facilitates interventions.
• Develop a strategy (For gender studies and gender interventions) based on objectives i, ii and iii for addressing gender issues, especially participation of  women in decision making and build capacity of consortia partners in gender analysis.
